Most rowers will be familiar with the standard indoor rowing tests; 2K, 5K & 30min rate 20, but at Royal Shrewsbury School Boat Club (RSSBC) they’ve got another test they rely on to monitor their performance throughout the season, it’s known as “The Sliders Test”. To do well you’ll need a relentless rhythm, all your teammates cheering you on and most importantly a big bowl of porridge for breakfast!
