About the video

As an athlete Robert Sens was a three time World Champion picking up medals in both the Men’s Pair and Men’s Quad before turning his hand to coaching. Coaching within the German Team Robert achieved excellence coaching the Lightweight World Champion Jason Osborne and now find himself as the Head Coach of the Austrian Rowing Federation a move he made very recently.

In this interview with Martin Cross he discusses what the move has been like, how does the new role compare to what he was doing before, what are his thoughts on the current trend towards high rates, centralised training systems, pausing at the finish and much much more.

This is the first part of three videos, there’s a link to the next video at the end of each one.
